Neaverson Growers Ltd is the trading business of the Neaverson family who have been farming near Long Sutton, South Lincolnshire, since the 1940s. Every year we grow around 400ha of combinable crops, 100ha of potatoes, 20ha of vining peas and 20ha of sugar beet across a range of owned, rented, cropping licence and contract farming agreement land. The bodied, moisture retentive silt loams in our area are conducive to high yielding crops of cereals and the long-term storage of potatoes.
Mike is also an independent agronomist and spends much of his time advising other farmers in the area. He is BASIS and FACTS qualified and is a member of the Association of Independent Crop Consultants.
Wheat - we grow hard feed wheat for milling locally
Potatoes - specialists in Agria and Markies for the late season chip shop trade
Vining Peas - we are a member of the Holbeach Marsh Co-operative and grow garden peas for freezing and canning
Sugar beet - grown for British Sugar, who in-turn make it into products such as Silverspoon
